Truck Crashes Into Overpass On Hutchinson River Parkway

Traffic on the Hutchinson River Parkway was temporarily backed up around Scarsdale when an oversized truck struck an overpass.

The incident occurred at Exit 21 (Weaver Street/Scarsdale/ Mamaroneck), when a tractor-trailer struck the overpass on Tuesday afternoon, May 7 at around 12:30 p.m. The extent of the damage to the overpass has not been reported.

There was congestion reported in the area, as well as stop-and-go traffic, which was backed up to North Street. By 2 p.m., traffic was flowing normally.
